Prosciutto-Wrapped Pears with Rosemary & Balsamic Glaze

This seasonal appetizer is elegant, quick, and always a hit. The salty prosciutto pairs with a slightly sweet pear and herbal rosemary for a well-balanced, health(ier) app.

Yield: About 16 pieces

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe but firm pears (Bosc or Anjou work great), sliced into 8 wedges each
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • 8 slices prosciutto, halved lengthwise
  • 2 tsp fresh rosemary, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp balsamic glaze (we love the Trader Joes brand)
  • Optional: Boursin herbed goat cheese, or honey goat cheese tucked inside prosciutto

Directions

  1. Toss pear slices with lemon juice to prevent browning.
  2. Wrap each pear slice with a strip of prosciutto (add a smear of cheese before wrapping, if using)
  3. Arrange on a platter and sprinkle wedges with rosemary.
  4. Drizzle lightly with balsamic glaze just before serving
